7-8 High Street & 50 Colebrook Street, Winchester
Gentian acquired this substantial high street property in March 2021.
The site consists of three well-configured retail units totalling 21,000sqft. Two of the units front onto the High Street, whilst the third fronts onto Colebrook Street.
What we did
The ground floors of No 7 High Street and 50 Colebrook Street are let to Danish retailer Sostrene Grene, a homewares and lifestyle brand who opened their store in August 2025. Rick Stein seafood restaurant occupies the ground floor of No 8 High Street.
We have secured planning permission for a residential scheme of 18 brand new apartments on the top floors of 7-8 High Street. Construction will get underway from week commencing 18 May with a 13-month build programme. A show flat will be available to view from September of this year. We are working on this scheme with our JV delivery partners, Oakgrove, who are specialist in transforming underused buildings into beautiful, long-lasting homes.
