We aim to positively impact the communities where we operate and as a commitment to this we have donated £5,000 locally to The Westgate School to provide much-needed new sports equipment.
The Westgate School have used the funds towards four new sets of goal posts and footballs and four new basketball hoops and basketballs. The school last bought new goal posts seven years ago and, as some of them had perished, the school was in real need of upgrading this equipment.
Charlie Damant, chair, Westgate Parent Association said: "We are so incredibly grateful to Gentian for their amazing generosity. The goal posts and basketball hoops and boards that their money has now provided both in the upper and lower school has transformed our break and lunchtimes. Pupils are now playing football or basketball at these times and being active and brilliant. Because of Gentian's generosity we have also been able to stock up on footballs and basketballs. It is just brilliant. We would like to thank Gentian so much for their generous sponsorship. We are very lucky."
Aiden Murray, Gentian's Planning Director said: "We're only too pleased to have been able to help The Westgate School with this donation and are delighted that they've used it to buy new sports equipment which will benefit the pupils for many years to come."
